In Indonesia, Plowshares' programs have:
Trained more than 1000 senior leaders from the government and civil society to more effectively address conflict, protect human rights, and promote democratic participation.
Reinforced the Peace Accord between the Indonesian Government and Acehnese freedom fighters that followed the 2005 Tsunami by equipping religious and community leaders in Aceh in conflict transformation and trauma heeling skills.
Worked to quell violence in Papua by bringing leaders from Papua and other islands into conflict transformation training.
Served as two of the three international advisors to the Commission of Truth and Friendship between Indonesia and East Timor. Thsi was teh first truth commission between two independent nations
Brought together North American artists with Asian artists to examine the roles of faith and culture in contemporary art.
