Plowshares is designated by the IRS as
a “501(c)3” publicly supported organization which makes
contributions to Plowshares tax deductible. Plowshares is also
registered with Connecticut as a charitable organization. Funding
for major projects over the past twenty-five years has come from
three primary sources: a loyal and growing annual fund of individual
donors and council member churches; contract income from workshops
and lectureships, and foundation grants.*
Our
individual donor base is critical for our global service and
peacebuilding work – programs that are more important than ever
during a time of national and international turmoil.
Plowshares is uniquely positioned to make an impact in many
of these countries through our projects in Indonesia,
Uganda, Zimbabwe,
Cuba, and
China, among others. All of
these peacebuilding programs are dependent upon your continued and
increased generous contributions.
